hp web cam, (What's this?)
Appalling video quality, There is no way anyone could find any use for this product. The video quality is absolutely shambolic. i was expecting it to be low res so a small video could be shot but all it is a blur.
Bad Webcam, (What's this?) When I got this webcam I knew that it was cheap but I had high hopes for it because it was HP. I was severely disappointed. The person who sent it to me did get it to me in a timely manner though so this is not a bad review for them, just that they sold me a crappy webcam and thought that hey, I wouldn't mind.
Adjust the Focus!!!, I bought this web cam for <$30 not really expecting too much. With only the Apple UVC driver, it works well enough on the mac mini I installed it on. The frame rate is a bit low but the the exposure seems to adjust for the lighting conditions well enough and the microphone works pretty well too.
For those complaining about out of focus images, It's NOT an auto-focusing camera!! Twist the black ring on the front of the camera out until the image is in focus.
Like it since I learned how to use it, (What's this?) The instructions were poor, but I had someone to assist me with the product through the webcam, I was ready to return it, but now I am enjoying seeing family that I miss across the miles.
HP Pro CrappyCam, (What's this?) Image quality Stinks. Supposed to be VGA. Looks to crappy to be VGA. Sorry. I love HP stuff but really don't like this cam.
Wish I would have read the reviews, Majority are always right..., I purchased to Skype to my family in Japan and Germany. The picture quality is horrid, just a blurry blob on the screen. What's the use of using webcam when it just looks like some blurp moving around the screen. Absolutely returning today, for Logitech. The HP software seems to have a lot of bells and whistles that would be neat, if the picture was clear. Again, whats the point of bells and whistles when even the still shots are blurry. Don't waste your money on this product, it does not live up to the expected HP name. Shame on them.
It's ok, (What's this?) Doesn't seem so different from the one before it. Of course it's delayed. Cool features to it. It's cheap, which makes it good.
Nice Camera for the price, (What's this?) Ordered this camera because we have a brand new HP laptop.
The camera was easy to install and has alot of neat functions.
I have just one slight problem and it is nothing major. The holder for it to be on the top of your laptop screen is not made for the new slim design. It is a little wobbly and if you move your laptop the camera will not stay in place.
Mistrust HP products now..., After Installing software and the cam, I wanted to use it. DUH! Software informed I would have to buy software to run it. WHAT? I didn't fall for the pitch, and yes, there are drivers you don't have to pay for if you want to be bothered to look for them. What a shabby trick HP! After reading the reviews here on the quality, I probably would have taken it back anyway, but I won't be trying anything HP again because of that tactic.
HP, we want convenience at a fair price. I feel bad for the people who fall for it, buy the software only to see how bad the quality of the picture.
